Ana Maria Gallegos, a Freelance Realtime Court Reporter, began her career in 1989 in her hometown of Santa Fe, 

New Mexico, working in Federal Court. After a year, she relocated to Los Angeles, California, to continue her freelance court reporting career. During the period of waiting for her California license, Ana worked on reporting statements with private investigators who were investigating "Swoop and Squat" rings. This work was hazardous, as Ana and the private investigator were once chased at gunpoint by a gang while questioning a witness. Fortunately, Ana's license arrived just in time for her to conclude the investigating work with this chase.  Ana holds current licenses with California, New Mexico, and with the National Court Reporters Association.

Ana wasted no time and immediately took on deposition work, willingly accepting the most challenging and undesired assignments in remote locations. She dedicated herself to perfecting her realtime writing skills. As a result, agencies started requesting Ana specifically for international deposition work. Attorneys also began requesting her presence for larger cases both within the United States and internationally. This love for traveling became a passion for Ana.

In 2009, Ana moved back to New Mexico with her family and established her own boutique court reporting firm. Initially intending to slow down, her firm experienced rapid growth, and Ana found herself working long hours. Despite this, she continued to receive offers for international jobs and accompanying attorneys on major cases across the United States. In 2019, Ana made the decision to prioritize international work and, leveraging her dual citizenship with Spain, permanently relocated her family there. She now works full-time providing court reporting services across Europe, the Middle East, and the UK, which she finds incredibly fulfilling.
